FILM PROJECT highlighting Serbian Immigrants in North America SEEKING PERSONAL STORIES OF SERBIAN VOLUNTEERS IN WORLD WAR ONE!

Serbian Volunteers from America in WWI

SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM
Merritt Mirjana Pavichevich

FILM PROJECT highlighting
Serbian Immigrants in North America
SEEKING PERSONAL STORIES
OF SERBIAN VOLUNTEERS IN WORLD WAR ONE!

"Do any of my fellow Serbian Americans have family members (or know of anyone who does) who returned to Serbia as WWI volunteers? I have become involved in a film project dealing with Serbian Immigration in North America. I would appreciate any leads. SNF and other publications may have existing archives, but I would appreciate any tips or contacts. My Deda Dusan's father and uncles came to St. Louis before WWI to try to buy a ranch and make a go of it, but when they heard that king and country needed them, they dropped that dream and went back to Yugoslavia never to return, and dashed were our hopes of being the Cartwright family of Bonanza, or the Ewings of Dallas...ha ha.

"If anyone has a story, particularly of Chicago dobrovoljci, please message me or email me ASAP at mirjanamerritt@gmail.com.

 Thank you in advance!"
