Aleksandra's Note: This Mihailovich website came to life ten years ago, on July 12, 2006. Being the administrator and publisher of www.generalmihailovich.com has been a rewarding and enlightening experience, and that is thanks in large part to the readership who has visited this site. The goal of this site has been to educate, to inform, to pay tribute, to vindicate, and to honor the memory of one of Serbia's greatest sons, General Dragoljub "Draza" Mihailovich. He was mortal for only 53 short years, but in that time he established a legacy that 70 years after his martyrdom in July of 1946 remains a source of great inspiration and pride for patriots everywhere.
Through this site, I've been able to reach people all over the world, and many have become friends and acquaintances. Thank you for your support. It means a lot to me. It means even more to the memory of this man who deserves in every true way the title of "HERO".
As we begin the 70th anniversary of the last week in the General's life, I'll be posting all kinds of tributes, news stories, announcements about events that will be taking place to honor his memory and legacy, and thoughts and reflections on who Draza Mihailovich was and why he remains important and relevant so many decades after his death.
