General Dragoljub-Draža Mihailovich was born on this day, April 27, 1893 in the beautiful Serbian town of Ivanjica.
He remains one of those special people in history who was not diminished by death, but instead was elevated by it.
Perhaps the greatest tribute to his life lies in the fact that today, in 2012, he is remembered and honored as the hero
and great human being that he was throughout the course of his short lifetime.

On July 17, 1946 he passed from man into legend.
This is a day of celebration. I am just one among many, both old and young, who are grateful that he was born.
