"The Independent State of Croatia" (NDH) declared on this day, April 10, in 1941 and the nighmare for Serbs, Jews and Gypsies began...Remembering the victims of the genocide in WWII Yugoslavia

Today, April 10th, in 1941 was a dark, dark day for Serbs living on the territories of Croatia and Bosnia and Hercegovina in the former Yugoslavia. It was on this day that the "Independent State of Croatia" was declared with the blessing of Hitler's Nazi Germany and Mussolini's Italy and the nightmare began for the Serbs, Jews and Gypsies living on that territory. This is the genocide of World War II that too few know about. Remembering those victims and hoping that one day they will be recognized worldwide.

"We shall expel a third, convert a third (to Catholicism) and kill a third." - These were not empty threats. The Croats followed through and fulfilled their goal.
