THE TRANSFER OF THE REMAINS OF PRINCE PAUL, PRINCESS OLGA AND PRINCE NIKOLA


Belgrade, 3 October 2012 - Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine with their sons, Hereditary Prince Peter and Prince Philip will attend the ceremony of transfer the remains of Prince Paul, Princess Olga, and their son Prince Nikola.

Their Royal Highnesses will attend the ceremonies that will take place on Thursday, 4 October at the Saborna Church and on Saturday, 6 October at the St George Church at Oplenac, which will be with full state honours conducted in the following manner:

Thursday, October 4

At 5.40 pm it is planned that a procession escorting the remains of TRH Prince Paul, Princess Olga and Prince Nikola will arrive in front of the Congregational Church in Belgrade, where the three coffins will be brought into the Church after the playing the National anthem of the Republic of Serbia. His Holiness Patriarch of Serbia Irinej, hierarchs and clergy of the Congregational Church will begin to serve a Holy Liturgy at 6 pm with chanting of the First Belgrade singing Society.

There will be present President of Serbia, H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, Serbian Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Ivica Dacic, Speaker of the Parliament H.E. Mr. Nebojsa Stefanovic, HRH Crown Prince Alexander, HRH Crown Princess Katherine, HRH Prince Vladimir, HRH Princess Elizabeth, HRH Prince Alexander, HRH Princess Barbara, HRH Prince Michael, HRH Prince George, HRH Princess Linda, HRH Princess Birgitta, Mrs. Catherine Oxenberg, as well as ministers from the Serbian government, members of the diplomatic corps, religious and other officials.

After serving of the Holy Liturgy and the Patriarch's speech, there will be a reception for high officials at the Patriarchate.

The walking past the coffin for citizens will be allowed from 6 pm on October 4, until 5 am the next day.

Friday, October 5

At 8:30 am the clergy of the Congregational Church will be joined by Bishops and then the Holy Liturgy will be officiated.

At 5 pm The transfer of remains will start to the crypt of St. George Church in Oplenac It is planned that remains arrive at Oplenac around 5.45 pm, when a memorial service will be served.

Walking past the coffin for citizens at the St. George Church in Oplenac will begin at 8 pm and last until midnight, and then continue on Saturday, October 6 at 5 pm and last until 8 am.

Saturday, October 6

His Grace Bishop of Australia and New Zealand Irinej will serve a Holy Liturgy and requiem at the Church of St. George in Oplenac at 10.00 am.

After the Liturgy and the Requiem, laying wreaths and speeches of President Tomislav Nikolic, Bishop Irinej Dobrijevic, Prince Alexander, Princess Elizabeth and Crown Prince Alexander II, following the speeches the reburial will take place.

TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine have organised a reception for this occasion for Family, high officials, church dignitaries and ambassadors at the White Palace on 8 pm.
