Aleksandra's Note:

There is much to hope for in 2012. Those of us who have been following the progress of the General Mihailovich rehabilitation process in Belgrade, Serbia and who now await the outcome of the next hearing on March 23, 2012 have been witness to the resurrection of historical integrity. I cannot help but think of all those Serbian patriots and the non-Serbs who were supportive of and championed their efforts over the last seven decades who are no longer with us. I know that their hearts would be filled with optimism and faith that finally truth and justice will indeed prevail. I wish they were with us today to witness the fruition of their efforts.

I am most grateful that there are those among the Serbian patriots and their supporters who are still with us, who are patiently watching and waiting, and with whom we will be able to celebrate when justice is finally rendered for the heroes whose legacies we have kept alive in our hearts and minds through all these years. One of those Serbian patriots who made it their life's work to see these days finally come around is my father, Rade Rebic. May God Bless him and all those living and dead who have shared the same goal, have fought the same good fight, and whose hopes and dreams of freedom and justice will remain alive and well in the descendants who will never forget their sacrifices.

Sincerely,

Aleksandra Rebic
